ACCOMMODATION
In the desert - The fixed camp
The fixed bivouac is a hard camp, in the heart of the desert. There are showers with hot water to be able to fill up on hygiene before and after the trek. Comfort is a must; you can sleep in clay bungalows and on mattresses.
How are the showers?
The fixed bivouac contains showers with hot water. In the desert, water is precious and care should be taken to use it sparingly.
How are the toilets?
The fixed bivouac contains "Western" toilets as usual and "Turkish" toilets. Paper is to be thrown in the bins provided on the sides.
In the desert - Bivouac under the stars
Large tents are set up at each campsite. One tent for cooking and one tent for resting and sleeping.
The Bedouin team lays out a carpet under the communal tent and arranges extra sleeping mats and blankets.
There is the possibility of sheltering and sleeping under this communal tent. However we recommend moving one of the ground mattresses, a blanket and sleeping under the stars, nestled in your sleeping bag.
The duvet is personal and must be brought by you.
What is the comfort temperature for down?
Depending on the period, we advise you to opt for a more or less technical duvet.
October, March, April, May
Between 10 and 15°
November, February
Between 5 and 10°
December, January

How are the showers?
No showers in the desert! Several strategies can restore a touch of freshness and hygiene. We recommend using baby wipes and micellar water without rinsing for a cat's bath. Some use dry brushing with a horsehair glove. For hair, there are dry shampoos without rinsing.
For hands, the use of hydroalcoholic gel is recommended. You can also borrow water in reasonable quantities to wash your hands.
How are the toilets?
Toilets are done outside in the privacy of a hollow in a dune. The desert always offers places of privacy, out of sight. The toilet paper must then be burned with a lighter so as not to pollute the environment.
