Who is cooking?
The Bedouin team that goes with you during the trek includes a cook who is in charge of preparing the meals.
He is accompanied by a desert baker who knows the ancestral technique for baking his bread directly in the sand. For a guarantee of fresh bread every day!
Breakfast
For breakfast, there is coffee, tea, orange juice as well as bread with jam, spread and Kiri. Kiri is a cheese that does not fear heat, it is particularly present in Africa
Lunch
Lunch takes place in an improvised nomadic lounge. Depending on the day, the head chef prepares refreshing salads, pasta, Berber omelettes, chicken tagines, skewers... In general, dessert is composed of fresh fruit.
Evening dinner
The evening always begins with the tea ritual. A time of communion to warm up around a teapot in the evening. On the evening menu, there is harira: a typical hot Maghreb soup. It is followed by delicious tagines.
All meals are accompanied by bread. The latter is made on site by the desert baker. To have fresh bread throughout the trek, it must be kneaded and baked with the means at hand. In the desert, it is put directly into the burning sand!
